1. Eligibility and authority
You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to agree to these Terms. If you use the Services for a school, church, organization, or employer, you represent that you are authorized to act for that organization and that the organization also accepts these Terms.
MyClassroom Planner is intended for authorized adult educators, staff, and administrators. It is not a student-facing account service unless Project Bright Cornerstone and the applicable school expressly agree otherwise in writing.
2. Accounts and security
You must provide accurate account information, keep it current, protect your password and multi-factor authentication materials, and use a unique vault password. You are responsible for activity performed through your account unless you promptly report suspected unauthorized access. Administrators are responsible for inviting appropriate users, assigning suitable roles, reviewing access, and deactivating accounts that are no longer authorized.
3. Appropriate use
You may use the Services only for lawful educational, organizational, family, and related purposes. You may not:
- access another person’s account or information without authorization;
- upload malicious code, disrupt the Services, test vulnerabilities without written permission, or bypass security or access controls;
- use the Services to harass, threaten, discriminate, exploit, or violate another person’s rights;
- submit information you do not have authority to collect, use, or share;
- copy, resell, reverse engineer, or commercially exploit the Services except as permitted by law or a written agreement; or
- use automated methods to overload, scrape, or extract information from the Services.
4. School and student data responsibilities
Schools and authorized users decide what classroom and student information to enter. They are responsible for complying with their policies, contracts, consent requirements, record-retention rules, and applicable student privacy laws. Users should collect and enter only information necessary for legitimate educational purposes and should not use ordinary notes, messages, or AI prompts for highly sensitive records when a school-approved system is required.
Project Bright Cornerstone processes school-controlled information to operate the Services. Additional school-specific obligations may be documented in a separate agreement or data processing addendum.
5. Your content
You and the applicable organization retain ownership of content submitted to the Services. You grant Project Bright Cornerstone a limited, non-exclusive right to host, process, transmit, back up, and display that content only as needed to provide, secure, support, and improve the Services and meet legal obligations. You represent that you have the rights and permissions needed to submit the content.
6. AI-assisted features
AI Lesson Helper content is generated automatically and may contain errors, omissions, unsuitable wording, or inaccurate references. It is not a substitute for professional educational judgment, safeguarding obligations, legal advice, medical advice, or official school policy. Users must review all output before using or sharing it and must avoid including unnecessary personal or sensitive information in prompts.
7. Site Vault
The vault password is separate from the account password and is not stored by Project Bright Cornerstone. We cannot recover a forgotten vault password or decrypt vault entries without it. A vault reset permanently deletes the affected encrypted vault data. Users are responsible for maintaining secure independent records of credentials needed for essential services.
8. Our intellectual property
The Services, software, branding, designs, documentation, and related materials are owned by Project Bright Cornerstone or its licensors and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. These Terms provide permission to use the Services; they do not transfer ownership or grant rights to our names, logos, or source code.
9. Third-party services and links
The Services may connect to or link to third-party products, including hosting, AI, authentication, or external websites. Those products are governed by their own terms and privacy practices. Project Bright Cornerstone is not responsible for third-party services that it does not control.
10. Availability, changes, and support
We work to keep the Services reliable, but availability is not guaranteed. Maintenance, security issues, provider outages, emergencies, or events beyond our reasonable control may interrupt access. We may update, replace, or discontinue features when reasonably necessary. Users and organizations should maintain exports or separate records required for time-sensitive, emergency, regulatory, or business-continuity purposes.
11. Fees
Some Services may be offered without charge and others may require a paid plan. Prices, billing periods, renewal terms, taxes, cancellation terms, and refund eligibility will be disclosed before purchase or in an order form. Failure to pay may result in suspension or termination after any required notice.
12. Suspension and termination
You may stop using the Services at any time. We may restrict or suspend access when reasonably necessary to address nonpayment, security risk, unlawful activity, material violation of these Terms, or harm to users or the Services. When practical, we will provide notice and an opportunity to correct the issue. Data handling after termination is governed by the Privacy Policy and any applicable written agreement.
13. Disclaimers
To the extent permitted by law, the Services are provided “as is” and “as available.” Project Bright Cornerstone disclaims implied warranties, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, and any warranty that the Services will always be uninterrupted, error-free, or meet every school’s requirements. Nothing in these Terms excludes a warranty or right that cannot legally be excluded.
14. Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, Project Bright Cornerstone will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue, goodwill, or data. Our total liability arising from the Services will not exceed the amount paid for the affected Services during the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim, or $100 if no fee was paid. These limits do not apply where prohibited by law.
15. General terms
Applicable law governs these Terms without regard to conflict-of-law principles, subject to any mandatory rights in your location. A future school agreement or order form may identify a specific governing law and venue. If one provision is unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain effective. Failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. You may not transfer your rights under these Terms without our consent; we may transfer these Terms as part of a reorganization, financing, merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.
16. Changes and contact
We may update these Terms as the Services evolve. We will post the revised version with a new effective date and provide additional notice when required. Questions may be sent to hello@projectbrightcornerstone.com.
